Wednesday’s TNT (Tip ‘N Tool): Reconnecting To You
On Monday’s Facebook post, I promised to write a TNT on self-appreciation. I’ve titled it “Reconnecting To You,” as reconnecting to who you are is the ultimate way to appreciate yourself.
How do you reconnect if you don’t know how to do it? Here are a couple of suggestions:
- For the next week, write five things you like (and appreciate!) about yourself in your journal. Don’t rush. Savor the experience. Take time to absorb the good feelings that your list conjures up. Make it a daily practice.
- Make a list of of 10 more activities you enjoy doing. Examples include reading, walks in nature, knitting, gardening, listening to music, singing, meditating, etc. Then take 10 minutes (or more!) every day for the next week to do one thing on your list.
Self-appreciation sometimes takes practice. Your worth it! Gift yourself with at least 10 minutes every day to reconnect to you and appreciate yourself.
